Vasti Brandenburg M.A. CCC-SLP
As a pediatric speech-language pathologist, I have the privilege of working across the hospital—from acute care and rehabilitation to our outpatient clinics. My clinical practice is rooted in supporting children through complex feeding and swallowing challenges, fostering early language acquisition, and providing pediatric cognitive rehabilitation. I also have a special passion for helping families navigate the nuances of bilingualism, ensuring we correctly distinguish between language differences and language disorders so that every child gets the support they need.
On a personal note, I am a mother of three, and I have experienced the “other side” of the table as a parent navigating interventions for my own children. That perspective deeply shapes how I practice. My goal is to work alongside you as a partner; whether we are building new communication skills or working to regain those that were lost, I am here to support your child’s unique journey toward growth and independence. I look forward to working together!

Jennifer McHale
Jen McHale, is a licensed and board- certified art therapist. She has been practicing as an art therapist for over 20 years. and completed her undergraduate studies at Miami University Oxford, OH and master’s training at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Her experience ranges from inpatient and partial hospitalization neuropsychiatric care and inpatient and outpatient services supporting patients impacted by cancer, neurological disorders and/or trauma, and a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. She works with children, adolescents, and adults and her passion with the creative arts began as a child and feels fortunate to have been able to maintain focus to help individuals overcome personal challenges with the creative arts. To break it down…. art therapy includes two main focuses: 1. Art as therapy: In working with patients, Jen de-emphasize the final product and emphasize the process of creating—the kinesthetic experience itself can foster many benefits. Art therapy is often considered a “bottom-up therapy” where the goal is to have individuals express themselves and see what transpires. Skill level doesn’t matter! 2. Art in therapy: Art therapy can help individuals gain insight about oneself and learn ways to regulate their emotions through art expressions. The art created during a session can be a visual map of how they can FEEL an emotion and return to a calmer state. Each patient Jen works with is a “white canvas” and as she spend time with them, the picture they create guides her to develop a treatment plan that works towards their established goals. Jen tailors each art therapy intervention based on the patient’s cognitive and physical abilities knowing art can be controlled or messy!

Allison Rath
I’ve been a physical therapist for over 20 years, and in that time, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of pediatric settings, from school based, outpatient therapy at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, to inpatient rehabilitation, acute hospital care, home health, specialty clinics, and research studies such as the DRIVE and ACHIEVE studies in collaboration with The Ohio State University, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and the National Institutes of Health.
In addition to my professional journey, I’m blessed to be a mom to two amazing girls, Rhyan and Reagan, a dog mom to Iris, and an aunt to five wonderful nieces and nephews. Through my work, I’ve had the honor of building lasting relationships with families and children across Ohio and even in Yucatan, Mexico.
After years of evaluating and treating kids and working closely with their families, I knew I wanted to offer something more—a personalized, in-home intensive physical therapy practice. I saw firsthand the incredible progress these children made in a shorter period of time compared to the standard care they were receiving in clinic settings. While I deeply respect what outpatient clinics offer, I was often frustrated with the challenge of trying to recreate a home environment in a clinic. Kids respond better when they are using actual equipment in the spaces where they live and play every day. Plus, working with caregivers and the children’s friends—those who interact with them daily—adds even more value.
The real progress happens after therapy sessions end. It’s in those daily, functional activities—play, interaction, and practice—that kids truly begin to thrive. That’s where the magic happens, and I’m passionate about supporting this process. I’m excited to integrate advanced treatment techniques into my practice that I’m personally vested in growing my knowledge and our teams understanding of new advances. I’m also continuously pursuing further education and training, including working with Susan Hastings and Pia Stampe, to expand my knowledge and expertise in the use of electrical stimulation and spinal stimulation to support my patients’ progress.
Most of all, I believe the key to success is ensuring the child’s village—family, friends, and caregivers—is fully involved in the process to support their continued growth.
I’m committed to working closely with you and your child to focus on what’s most important to your family’s goals and needs.
